This movie was hard to watch. From a little girl I had always heard stories of Jesus, read my Bible, memorized verses. Jesus saying,"I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." You realize that in fact that was His purpose in coming. He didn't have to, because He is God's Son (John tells us He is God in the flesh). He wanted to do this for us. He did all that was needed. He was obedient and gave what was required. And what was accomplished? He did all that was needed to save a human soul.
My husband and I saw this movie, "The Passion of the Christ" on Good Friday 2004. Since then some very drastic changes have taken place in our lives. All of our lives, because we also have two wonderful teenage boys. My husband, Tom, fell from a tree stand while deer hunting on November 12, 2004. He broke his neck at the C6 and C7 vertebrae. Doctors were able to fuse his neck and after a long hospitalization and rehab my Tom is now home with us. The good news is that he did not sustain a concussion or brain damage, which is amazing, because he fell right on his head. Tom is paralyzed from the chest down, but has use of his arms and hands. The surgeon told us that his spinal cord was not severed, so we are trusting that one day our Dad and husband will walk again. Our boys have been such a strong support through this and I thank God every day for them. And the Lord has showed Himself strong in this whole thing and given me the portion that I need to be strong for Tom. I'm so glad that Tom and I saw the "Passion of the Christ" together and that that was the instrument God used to make our faith stronger and especially for such a time as this. We are not afraid because we know that whatever happens, He is there with us in all of it. Thank you to those who, with the help of God's Spirit, were faithful in bringing us this movie. I guess we will never know how far reaching the effect of this movie was until we get to Heaven.

Meditation
From the time I heard about The Passion of The Christ I knew it was going to become my aid in meditating the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary. The Fifteen Magnigicient Prayers revealed to St. Brigette prepared me for this movie.

Today my devotion is prayer and sacrifice for the Holy Souls in Purgatory and the Dying. The Holy Souls in Purgatory have been forgotten and are totally dependent on our prayers and reparation. Amazing graces are coming into my life as a result.

If someone knows how to get information to Mel Gibson let him know that the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for Terri Schiavo at the Martyrs' Shrine in Midland Ontario Canada on May 22/05 12:00 noon. The Martyrs' Shrine honours the eight Jesuit Saints that lived worked and died here 350 years ago. Our Holy Father Pope John Paul II celebrated Mass on this Holy ground in 1984 when he came to Canada. For more information about the shrine visit www.martyrs-shrine.com God Bless.

Life changing movie
I saw the movie when I was 12 years old, a few days before my birthday. When I watched the movie I finally realized what Christ actually did for me. I knew before that and was already a christan but I just didn't realize He went through all that, because I had seen movies about Christ, but they didn't really focus on the beating like this movie did. After seeing the movie it made me think and change some of the things I was doing. It's a real life changing experience!

one man's thoughts
First off i wish to say that The passion was a truly moving movie.. it truly did reach me.. and trust me that is a truly tough task in it's self.. for so many years i have become comfrotably numb resting in what i term as the "shadows" never really giving much thought to my salvation.. but the graphic images that i saw shocked me.. it tore aay those false images that i had got as a young lad.. in bible study i simply was blown away by what christ had to endure.. it had never been explained to me the true pain.. it sent the message of blood.. the suffering.. it opened this blind mans eyes to what a true sacrifice is.. as far as the world denouncing Mel.. and labeling him anti-semitic i say you do not see the true message to this movie you watch with one eye shut.. the true message i get it we all had our hand in the crusificition of Christ.. every single one of us.. no fingers where pointed.. if you can not handle the truth about this then do not watch.. true i am not a Jew.. but i hold my self just as guilty as the guards who hammered the nails into Christs hands... it does not matter what person called out for the death of Christ.. there is love in every place .. no matter who throws the first stone.. as far as prayers.. and wishes i pray that all who need prayer get the prayer they so deserve... may God bless Mel Gibson and his talented Crew who put this movie together..

Signed

Jonah..

My Mom Accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour
Thankyou for such a great movie, Mel, I am a born-again christian from Hindu religious background. I used to witness my mom about Jesus and His love for her. I prayed for her alot and I took her to "The Passion of the Christ" the movie. She was so moved by the movie, so much that she was in tears during the movie. Then in the cinema hall after the movie we sat and I told her that God sent His Son to suffer for her sins, because He loved her a lot. Little did I know that she would be diagnosed of Cancer later and pass away in a few months. Weeks before she died she gave her life to God, she choose Jesus over the gods of her ancesters, she made a conscious decision, she witnessed her brothers and sister and my dad who are Hindu's about her choice to follow Jesus Christ. I know it was the work of God the Holy Spirit, but I believe the Lord used the movie to reach out to her. Praise the Lord some day I will see her in heaven, O what a joy it will be.

WOW..
MOST EMOTIONALLY, SPIRITUALLY AND PASSIONATELY GRIPPING MOVIE I HAVE AND WITHOUT A DOUBT EVER WILL SEE.

IT CAPTURES THE ESSENCE OF WHAT EVERY PERSON MUST SEE TO FULLY UNDERSTAND AND APPRECIATE THE EVENTS OF CHRISTS SUFFERING AND SACRIFICE.

DO NOT BE DETERRED BY THE PHYSICAL SUFFERING EVIDENT IN THE MOVIE, IT BROADENS ONES PERSPECTIVE AND PUTS EVERYTHING INTO CONTEXT.

MEL, I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO YOU

Saved at last
Well I saw the movie March 22, 2004-the movie truly changed my entire life (38 years of it) to me that is phenomenal. The movie is phenomenal- It opened my eyes to the selfish & prideful way I was living. This movie opened my soul and let the holy spirit come in where that spirit lives to this day. I have been baptized, have read my bible from front to back and am reading it again. I understand and feel the love that Jesus has for all his children and this movie made this a reality. What a wonderful tool for people who are willing to leave behind their old way of thinking and embrace the beauty, joy and peace that Jesus offers to us for free. I carry my cross for Jesus each and every day and hope that you all who read this will feel the same. God bless you all!

Best Movie of 2004
Tonight, Hollywood is presenting Golden Globe Awards for movies that they deem the best of 2004. As I scanned through the list, The Passion of the Christ is not even acknowledged.

Mel, your obedience to Christ in producing a film that will impact the nations for generations to come will bring you awards that will last through eternity; while their awards will perish.

I think I can speak on behalf of most of the Church in saying that you indeed produced the best film of 2004. Thank You!

Changed my life forever
Hi, my name is Bonnie. I'm a 20-year old art student. I have a wonderful family and am very blessed in a lot of ways.
When I was 6 months old, my father died from cancer. He was a local sailing legend, and my mother and he were very much in love. I was the last gift he ever gave to my mom before he left the earth. Until a year ago, I had almost stopped beliving in God because, like most artists, I needed something visually to prove that God was there. Then I saw "The Passion...". I walked out of the theater finally knowing why Christ was sent here, and how much he suffered so I could live my life to the fullest. A month later, a new friend of mine died suddenly and violently. For the first time in my life, I didn't turn away from God. I didn't call him names, I didn't even question it. I embraced him and Jesus both and never stopped wearing my cross. I painted his portrait as I felt God comppelling me to do, even with a heavy heart. I gave it to his parents, and now it's framed in their house and they personally wrote me a letter, telling me that it's like he (their son) never died when they look at the portrait.
And, it's all because of this amazing film created by a wonderful man, Mel Gibson, and his wonderful crews that made it come to life. You'll never know how much this film means to this 20-year old girl from Ohio.
Many thanks, and God Bless you wonderful people who did this for us, especially those of us who had fallen from grace.
