So, this is back tracking from my response sent on 25 Dec 2005.) I have decided to view this film annually on Christmas and Easter, as those two holy days seem the most appropriate time to do so. I encourage everyone to do the same if possible. As you know, this film is a very powerful film and has the ability to influence and enlighten, to help cleanse one's mind and focus on what Christ has done for all. I will personally admit that I have fallen short many times. I'll watch this film, become rejuvinated by it's powerful message and walk away spiritually sound for some time. After awhile, life will throw a curve ball at me and I end up getting too caught up on the irrelevant things that turn my focus from Him. It isn't until I realize the heavy burdons I carry do I realize that I nailed them on the cross long ago. Then, motivating factors like viewing this film place me back toward the right direction by reminding me of the love and sacrifice Christ has given. Don't get me wrong, one shouldn't just watch this film and only this film, but also strive to study the word of God and obtain a deeper relationship with the Lord. I only encourage one to view this film for its purpose as a tool, much like any tool that can be utilized to help rebuild and strengthen his/her faith. With all that said, I encourage you to experience this film during the holiness of the Christmas and Easter holidays, for it would be the most appropriate times of the year. May this film provide you with the guidance you need in seeking spiritual growth and a deeper relationship with our heavenly father. I pray this film will be a blessing to you as it has been to me and the mass audience it has touched throughout the entire world. God bless and Merry Christmas.
